David Schofman • Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer


David has had an extensive and successful career in building businesses and platforms that change consumer behavior. The inspiration for Coro Health was largely driven by his daughter with special needs, with whom music therapy has had a strong impact. The work she has undergone and progress she has made with the help of the Austin Center for Music Therapy, proves inspirational for his mission.

Furthermore, David’s mom has been a hospice nurse for nearly 25 years and has devoted her life to improving the lives of the elders. It is no surprise that this combination has lead to his passion and leadership in co-founding Coro Health. David is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin.


Brian Anderson • Co-Founder, President and Chief Operating Officer


From 1997-2000, Brian worked as an investment banker for Deutsche Bank. In 2000, Brian co-founded Trade Up Commerce, an ecommerce company designed to help brands manage idle inventory. In the first few years, Trade Up Commerce developed a strong relationship with Callaway Golf, resulting in a sale to Callaway Golf in 2004. The name was changed to Callaway Golf Interactive, and the responsibilities expanded to cover all direct to consumer activities, direct marketing, consumer database management, website management for domestic and international sites, loyalty programs and seeding programs.

Like all of the principals, Brian has a very personal connection to music that drives his passion to create better lives for those in need. Brian has an undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Texas and Masters from Rice University.


Leanne Flask • Co-Founder, Chief Content Officer


Leanne revolutionized the background music industry by bringing music to the forefront of branded experiences. After 13 years in the industry, inspiring hundreds of businesses around the world to understand the role music plays in fostering an emotionally expressive experience for the customer, Leanne created Orchid Music Design, the first Music Design agency in the world. Flask has become the go-to industry expert on building experiences by translating values, ideas, and personalities through music.

Due to her expertise, she has been interviewed and featured in the New York Post, New York Times, The Financial Times, and Vogue magazine. Leanne has designed musical experiences for some of the biggest names in retail and hospitality, such as Jones New York, LL Bean, Sheraton Hotels, Lacoste, Panera, the Saint Cecilia Hotel and Talbots. Her experience offers Coro Health a unique perspective on the ways in which music emotionally affects those who listen to it.


Stephen Balkum • VP of Technology


Stephen Balkum has been leading best-of-breed teams for over a decade. He knows the difference between a technology company and a business that needs enabling technology. By using modern software development methodologies in cooperation with the business, Stephen leads teams that stay in constant communication with the business, and thus, repeatedly deliver to the needs of the business.

Most recently, Stephen was Vice President of Technology with Callaway Golf Interactive, formerly FrogTrader, Inc. Stephen joined FrogTrader while it was in startup mode and grew its technology department from the launch of Callaway Golf Pre-Owned, through the company’s purchase by Callaway Golf, and then the launch of Shop.CallawayGolf.com.

Prior to Callaway Golf Interactive, as 212 Studios’ Director of Engineering, Stephen Balkum led the development of 212′s patent-pending Storekeeper System. Storekeeper’s use of Balkum algorithms employing AI technology constituted a revolution in DB Management and Reporting Systems. Previously, Stephen led the development of the award-winning Jack Nicklaus 5 containing the most realistic 3-dimensional characters and scenery ever developed for a golf simulator.

Stephen was a member of the Department of Astronomy at the University of Texas focusing on infrared spectroscopy research. With data from McDonald Observatory and the Kuiper Airborne Observatory, he developed algorithms to reduce 10′s of thousands of images of the same stellar object to a single, super-high resolution image.


Carol Osborn, Ph.D. • Executive Director, CoroFaith


Carol is Executive Director of CoroFaith and the author of 20 books translated into 15 languages, including The Art of Resilience (Random House) and Nothing Left Unsaid (Conari). She is the founder of www.FierceWithAge.com, the online retreat center for spiritual aging. Carol is credited for her groundbreaking work linking life stage and quality of life for the Boomer generation, offering motivational marketing advice to clients such as Humana, Prudential, VibrantNation.com and Ford. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UC Berkeley, Carol received her Masters of Theological Studies and doctorate from Vanderbilt University, in the field of History and Critical Theory of Religion.

She has served on the faculties of Georgetown University, Vanderbilt University’s Leadership Development Center of the Owen Graduate School of Management, Loyola Marymount University and the Doctoral Program in Organizational Leadership at Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Educational and Psychology. She received post-graduate training in interfaith spiritual guidance at Stillpoint in Los Angeles and the New Seminary for Interfaith Studies in Manhattan. She has presented her work on Resilience 2.0 for both corporate clients, such as The Walt Disney Company, ABC, Wellpoint and Southern California Edison, as well as for non-profits, including Gilda’s Club. Her blogs and op-eds on aging and spirituality run regularly on Huffington Post, VibrantNation.com, Humana’s Real4Me and Divine Caroline.com. She has appeared on Oprah, NBC Nightly News and on The Today Show multiple times, and in the pages of People Magazine and The New York Times, among many others.


Debi Cost • Director of Client Enrichment and Training, Eden Associate


With over 15 years of professional experience, 5 years specializing in the effects of music within an environment, Debi has collaborated with music design teams to create experiences for some of the biggest names in retail and hospitality, such as La Madeline’s Restaurants, Academy Sports & Outdoors, Jamba Juice, Hilton Brand Hotels, Outback Steakhouse, Stewart Enterprises, as well as many local businesses throughout Texas. Debi has a deep understanding of the role music plays in fostering an emotionally charged outcome and engineering the human condition.

After many years in the commercial industry, creating environments with musical blueprints and inspiring those businesses during her tenure, she uncovered a deep passion for how music impacts the lives of elders in long term care. Her experience offers Coro Health a unique perspective on the ways in which music affects the elderly and improves their quality of life – emotionally, physically and behaviorally. She is also a Certified Eden Alternative Associate and co-chairs on the Marketing Committee for the Texas Culture Change Coalition.
